Works in most dashes The iLX-F259 comes in two main pieces: a 2″ tall chassis and a 9″ touchscreen. The chassis fits in most single-DIN dash openings, and since there’s no disc player, the mounting depth shouldn’t be an issue for most vehicles. Once you’ve mounted the chassis in your dash opening, you can choose from five available vertical mounting positions for the screen, giving you the flexibility to enjoy the radio without blocking essential dash climate controls. Your vents might be partially blocked, but Alpine designed the radio to function under typical in-vehicle temperatures. Adjust to your liking Once you’ve determined the best vertical position for the display, you also have the option of changing the screen viewing angle up to 45 degrees forward or 20 degrees backward. This allows you to accommodate for angled dashes or just to get a better look at your display, depending on its position in your dash. After you’ve chosen the best positions, four screws hold the display safely in place as you interact with it. The XR4115 is a mechless, versatile multi-format digital media receiver that does away with CDs and provides robust connectivity to many of today’s most popular portable media devices. The receiver’s front panel features a 3.5mm auxiliary input, a USB input and an SD card slot (supports SDHC) to connect your digital media players or storage devices for MP3 and WMA playback. The receiver has 30 station presets (18 FM and 12 AM) and features a 3-band equalizer (pop/rock/jazz).

Mechless Design – no CDs, just USB drives and SD cards

Many consumers store their music files on a computer instead of collecting CDs. If you are one of them, then the XR4115 is perfect for you. Load up your music on a USB flash drive or an SD card, which easily plug in to the front of the receiver. It is easier than carrying CDs and both USB drives and SD cards store hundreds of music files. The shallow design of this mechless head unit also allows for easy installation if mounting depth is an issue.
